To explain my previous post, in the output from lsmod that you posted, I did not see where the video driver 's3virge' is running. The 'lsmod' command is translated to 'list modules' and will show a list of all modules currently loaded. The 'insmod' command translates to 'insert module' and essentially executes it. If this actually works, then you probably want to edit or create the file /etc/modprobe.preload and add 's3virge' so the driver preloads on startup. Let me know if this works for you.
