George, I have used an internal USR modem that is available at Compusa, and it dialed up and listened to hayes commands when testing, I just never got a succesful connection with the ISP and gave up. The modem advertises support for Linux, and I used it with CentOS 4.x. http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?pfp=SEARCH&product_code=289301&Pn=56K_V_92_Performance_Pro_Modem I still have it, if you would like it let me know. It was installed for about a month, and has been in a box since. I probably still have one or two extras. The only use most of us still have for them is to send/receive fax's. - -- KevinO -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFEnFqFI3MJ/OwKti0RAn3TAJ9MbDKB5r1bIP23sM9U/WjLE97o7QCePOUJ A4Blh0+IRCWjgNxpayGbAa0= =v1XP -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss --------------------------------- Yahoo!
