Systems Operations Specialist       

 

Work will involve web application deployment and support along with
general Linux system monitoring. Coordinate updates and upgrades and
assist in resolving any production errors. Experience with High
Availability (HA) systems and networks.  Good communication skills to
interact with developers, network administrators and database
administrators. Document, Configure, and Change server and daemon
settings. 

 

Skills & Experience Required:

*       Linux Systems Operations experience
*       2nd or 3rd level support experience

*       In Depth knowledge of Linux/UNIX environment

*       Experience with Apache and J2EE application servers such as
Tomcat 

*       Understanding of TCP/IP & Ethernet networks

*       Competent with common desktop tools (e.g. Outlook, MS Office,
Visio)

*       Familiarity with Java, Perl, PHP or other programming languages
a plus

*       Comfortable with command line tools such as awk, sed, grep,
bash, SCP
