I ran Gentoo for a while and liked it. I like Portage, but eventually I got tired of recompiling packages. I just didn't have the processor power for it at the time and ultimately that became a frustrating aspect of it for me. With a Live DVD though, I don't imagine that would be much of an issue. ;) At this point my boxes are split between Debian, Ubuntu and Fedora Core / RHEL. I don't really have a 'favorite' Distro at this point, but Debian / .apt styel and RH / .rpm style distros are all I seem to have time to keep up with these days.
