I have a Dell C610 laptop that dual boots Debian
and Windows 2000. I was running disk defrag under windows this weekend and all
of asudden got a blue screen with a memory error and the computer locked up.
Now, when I try to reboot I get the message "Primary hard disk drive 0 not
found." I can hear the drive spin up, so at least that is working.
Can someone help me try to restore the boot
partition, perferable by phone? This is my work computer and I am rather stuck
at the moment. I have a Knoppix 3.2 CD that runs, so I can get into the machine.
I just don't know how to proceed from there.
Thanks!
