Hello group,
Does anyone know of a tool for making a LiveCD
distribution of Linux based on an existing system?
We have a couple of applications for a LiveCD, the
coolest being a nice auto-running demo CD that will run a presentation on boot
(yes, we could do it with Flash and Windows auto-starting, but we don't want
that, and besides, it wouldn't be Linux). We're looking to build some
tweaked systems based on an existing setup.
With all the live CD distributions that are
appearing, there must be some relatively obvious tools for making them, but
Googling for "Linux LiveCD" or even "Linux LiveCD builder" generates an
impressively long list of LiveCD distributions, but no info that I could find on
making them. :-)
So in short, what we're looking for, is to take an
existing Linux box (could be based on RedHat, Mandrake, SuSE, Debian, whatever),
and create a bootable, runable CD that duplicates that box.
Thanks for any suggestions or tips!
Bill
