That is an issue with Firefox. It should limit how many windows/popups/dialog boxes can be opened in order to prevent this type of denial of service. Firefox is better than it used to be, but there are still some issues. In the preferences on the content tab there are options to configure java and javascript. I allow changing images and turn off all other options.
