I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope everything's alright.

Yeah, the power supply was actually fine (I tried it, and its
replacement on a known working mobo and that was fine. So alas, it seems
the motherboard is toast, or worse because it's not really edible. My
original request stands; Does anyone have a recommendation for a new
board, compatible with an AthlonXP (Socket 462)? Or does anyone have one
they're willing to part with for reasonable reimbursement?
