Well, it seems I spoke too soon about my K7S5A with the AthlonXP 2000+ as working. Sometime overnight, about 3:30am, a catastrophic event befell my poor MythTV box. I don't know what exactly, but it seemed like the power supply fried (judging by, for one, the fairly strong smell of electrical smoke coming from it). So, I whipped out a spare I bought on Black Friday for a purpose very similar to this. I pulled out the old and just plugged in the new (didn't mount it, wanted to test things first). The it will power on for about a second, but then shut off. It seems like a breaker has overloaded. So, it's looking like whatever happened last night/this morning also took the motherboard with it. Does anyone have any other ideas? And if the MB is gone, does anyone have a recommendation for or one themselves for a good replacement board? Unfortunately, with Christmas just behind me, I don't have room in my budget to just go to Fry's and pick something up. Thanks, Bryce
