More like, somebody had both the plug-discuss and Derek's addresses in
their Outlook/OE address book, in mail in their mail folders, or in
their IE cache and got infected by whatever that one is.  The software
happened to pick those two addresses as its sender and recipient and
happened to have them as sender and receipient such that we saw it here.

(I'm assuming that the list rejects mail from non-subscribed addresses.
Otherwise, there would be a ton of spam and viruses on the list.)
