I used it on a team-programmed web site project back when I worked for a
consulting firm and it was adequate.  If you decide to go with it
instead of Subversion (which other people have recommended and with
which I have no experience), note that the book "Open Source Development
with CVS" (originally, it was just the technical chapters, but now it
appears that the whole book is there) is available under a Free license
at <http://cvsbook.red-bean.com/>.
