Hi all, Who: Ron from BCLUG Where: GoLUG: https://meet.jit.si/golug When: Wednesday night, 11/6/2024 at 7PM Eastern Standard Time Why: Because React is an extremely productive way to build web interfaces. In this presentation, Ron from BCLUG shows us how to use React, sometimes called React.js, to design web user interfaces. React is a Javascript library created to ease user interface creation, while enabling you to use other tools for other facets of a web application. I don't know enough about React to say much more than the preceding paragraph, which is why I'm really looking forward to Ron's presentation. User interface is always one of the harder tasks in application building, and React has a large following so I imagine it's good. To get an idea of some of the vocabulary around React, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/React_(JavaScript_library) is a good starting place. You've all seen Ron from BCLUG at other GoLUG meetings, he's clear, unambigous, and a very able teacher. If you're looking for a new skill that's currently very marketable, check out Ron's presentation. I hope to see you there, because it's going to be good.
