It shouldn't be too hard to figure out how to change the background image of your desktop. Let us know which version of Mint you're currently running: 20.1 (ulyssa)    4-LMDE (debbie)    19.3 (tricia)    18.3 (sylvia)    17.3 (rosa) Also, which of the following Desktops? a) Cinnamon b) MATE c) Xfce I wonder if the "System Reports" application (aka mintreport) will show the version of Mint and the specific desktop you are currently running? Sorry, but, I don't have a Mint machine in front of me, but, maybe, if you provide this information to the list, somebody can help. I have a machine running 20.1 with Xfce at the office.
