I think you may be out of luck depending on how old your distro is. The plugin depends on a deprecated package called pygtk, though you can still download the python script at http://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=15075&start=10 . pygtk and specifically the "gimpfu" python module is not available in current Gentoo releases. If your Gimp is 2.8.n and the rest of your system is similarly behind, it may be possible. This'd be done by copying the .py file to ~/.gimp-2.8/plug-ins/ and making sure it's chmodded +x. However, there is apparently a way to do what this thing did with Gimp itself and no plugins, though it requires more fiddling. *shrug*. (Artists and programmers seem to have fundamentally different ways of working/thinking in many cases. I wonder if something like that is behind why so many people are always complaining about the Gimp UI.) -- Crow202 Blog: http://crow202.org/wordpress There is no Darkness in Eternity But only Light too dim for us to see. --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.phxlinux.org To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change your mail settings: https://lists.phxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
