Yeah, what went on last month is utterly unacceptable, without a doubt the worst experience we have had while at that location. That being said, I have been assured by the management that we do indeed have the banquet room scheduled for this month so we should actually be able to do what we are there for which is to be able to talk, and there are plugs in the wall for power. Everyone I talked to said that the new menu was an improvement over the old menu. I did talk to someone after the meeting on Tuesday that said they didn't like what they are served. If that is also the case with you, the only thing I can offer as an excuse was that was the second day they were open as Social Box and had been serving that new menu and it's likely the kitchen hadn't quite got their sh..stuff together. I'm hoping they have now had enough practice now and everything will be excellent for everyone this month. If it's not, they are out of excuses. I did notice that the menu was a bit more friendly to the vegetarians in out group, so they should feel more welcome (I hope). We have been warned that it's possible that December could have us bumped for a big paying client, but was told that the rest of the year we shouldn't have any problems. If we can get our numbers back up to what we were getting before all the construction (30 people in the room at once with upwards of 35 to 40 total showing up throughout the night), I'm sure that we would them be considered the big paying client and would never get bumped again. As for the December meeting, it has classically been the least attended meeting, so it shouldn't be a big deal to find a quiet corner (perhaps outside under a heater) for the smaller group. No matter what happens, they are going to start treating us right or we will be in a new location immediately. They are out of excuses that we will accept... no more strikes.
