Credible - hmmm - all I have is the vendor's assertion the drives were new from Seagate. Times two vendors. For you WD fans out there - I just had 4 WD Enterprise drives fail on me in the past month (out of 18 in two arrays). They were all dated Nov 2010 - that should give you an indication how long they last under 24x7x365 use in a data center.
