moin moin, It's the end of the year, a good time to thank those who have helped us during the year. Many non-profits help us by supporting FOSS and open standards. FSF, Ada Initiative, Software Freedom Conservancy, Software Freedom Law Center, EPIC, Creative Commons, and EFF to name just a few :). Many projects have donation options. For instance: debian, LibreOffice, Jenkins, and several others can receive donations through Software in the Public Interest. Also: libbraille ( for braille readers ), Evergreen ( integrated library system ), Inkscape, and several others can receive donations through the Software Freedom Conservancy. Maybe you've benefitted from a Free Software company such as Red Hat. I believe there is only one trading day left in the year if you'd like to give thanks via stock purchase. Hmm, a couple of important Android apps for me are FOSS, time to add donations that way as well :). I also encourage small donations to specific projects throughout the year. ciao, der.hans -- # http://www.LuftHans.com/ http://www.LuftHans.com/Classes/ # "Rock 'n' roll might not solve your problems, but it does let you dance # all over them." -- Pete Townsend --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.phxlinux.org To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change your mail settings: http://lists.phxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
