Nope. I have *only* done installs (and extremely rare removals) via synaptic. The best experience I have ever had with Linux was with PCLinux with KDE 3.5 ... however as PCL and KDE forced everyone to "move on" everything got royally screwed up to the point that I eventually had to change linux flavors (trying many different flavors). Now I have some boxes running kubuntu and some running mint and while there are nagging problems with both, I have learned to just live with the annoyances and try to avoid updates that have invariably created problems. Meanwhile, my oldest box still runs PCLinux with KDE 3.5 and it *never* fails. Question: What ever happened to *Keep it simple?* Answer: It got blown away by endless nuisance changes and bloatware. --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.phxlinux.org To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change your mail settings: http://lists.phxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
