Hi Eric, I don't have the meeting outlined yet; that is, I don't have notes compiled or any of that. So far, I just have planned out what items or areas of a11y I figure to cover and before this Thursday evening, I will have some notes compiled that I will use to keep myself on track and hopefully within reasonable time limits. When I compose my notes in emacs (org-mode) , I can perhaps pass that on to you for a guide. You might wish to cover things that are more familiar to yourself though so not how sure the whole notes would help you that much. But I can dig up URLs and stuff like that as I may want to make them available to the audience at the meeting and any future events. I typically get about 400 emails a day here and this keyboard is developing some overly sensitive keys (del being one of them). I may need a replacement apple keyboard soon. > > -Eric > > On Jan 21, 2011, at 11:23 PM, der.hans wrote: > > > Am 21. I am not very good at presentations (I'm nervous about public speaking and I haven't really done much presentation before). I have some idea of the technologies I can touch on (braille, text to speech, magnification). I use TTS almost exclusively now. I haven't the funds to afford braille output tech here and magnification has been beyond my ability for 6 months. > >> > >> thanks > >> > >> -Eric > >> > >> On Jan 21, 2011, at 10:15 PM, Steve Holmes wrote: > >> > >>> I still plan to do a presentation on Linux accessiblility for the blind at the east side meeting in February at MCC. So I don't know if you want to add anything else to that night's program. If that is too long, let me know and I can cut it down to a smaller size. > >>> --------------------------------------------------- > >>> PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us > >>> To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change your mail settings: > >>> http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss > >> > >> --------------------------------------------------- > >> PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us > >> To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change your mail settings: > >> http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss > >> > > > > -- > > # http://www.LuftHans.com/ http://www.LuftHans.com/Classes/ > > # ABLEconf - 2011Apr02 - CfP 2010Jan22 - Free Software for Free Enterprise > > # Intelligence without compassion is a waste. -- der.hans--------------------------------------------------- > > PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us > > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change your mail settings: > > http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss > > --------------------------------------------------- > PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change your mail settings: > http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change your mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
