Which brand did you try? I use a Keyspan converter, and although I haven't tried it directly from my Ubuntu VM, it works great with OS X... I have a embedded ECU that I have to program and I have been doing it with an older laptop that still has a serial port. I would like to use one of my newer laptops but the last time I tried buying a serial-to-usb convertor at Frys Electronics I ended up with one that I just could not get to function in Linux. Can anyone recommend a brand or model to me and possibly a place that stocks such a thing? If it was local I would have better chance of returning it if it did not work. Thanks in advance. -- Steven DuChene --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change your mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
