From: JD Austin > I've used clonezilla before but it has been awhile.. is it faster > than just using dd ? partimage/clonezilla are intelligent enough to look at the filesystem and only copy the blocks that are actually in use. dd copies everything. So if the NTFS/FAT/whatever disk is <= 95% full, it'll probably be faster to use a smarter program, and the image file will be smaller. If the filesystem on the disk isn't a commonly-used one, though, you may be stuck with dd. -- Matt G / Dances With Crows The Crow202 Blog: http://crow202.org/wordpress/ There is no Darkness in Eternity/But only Light too dim for us to see --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change your mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
