I've used free and paid accounts for several years with nary a problem. Do you have the "Minimize Updates" box checked in the Dynamic DNS Settings section? If not, check it. If it's checked, perhaps your IPCop isn't detecting it's public IP address properly? Is your IPCop red interface on a public address or is it nat'd behind a router? I've run both ways without having this problem.
