It totally depends on the VPN in use and the settings on it. There's a new VPN here that has less functionality than the old one, and it could allow Linux clients. But for some reason, they won't even consider turning that functionality on. > Also, from what I have heard most web cameras work under > Linux. Ubuntu has warts, but it's a reasonable place to start. > Take a look at OpenOffice.org it is the open source equivalent of > Microsoft Office. I've had it choke horribly on really complex Excel documents, but that was ~2 years ago and things may have improved. Evolution is probably an OK client, but it will not connect to newer versions of Exchange Server, so if your company is using that bloated sack, you may be out of luck. -- Matt G / Dances With Crows The Crow202 Blog: http://crow202.org/wordpress/ There is no Darkness in Eternity/But only Light too dim for us to see --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change your mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
