I would imagine you could edit 

/etc/inittab

and change the line that says 

id:5:initdefault:

to 

id:2:initdefault:

Or something similar. above that it may give you a hint, such as mind says:

#  Runlevels:
#    0    Halt
#    1(S)       Single-user
#    2    Not used
#    3    Multi-user
#    4    Not used
#    5    X11
#    6    Reboot
