Well if the internal WiFi is Atheros-based, then we should be able to
get Ubuntu Intrepid or anything else with Network Manager 7 (Fedora 10
fr'instance) running, and then share the cellmodem across WiFi.

In other words, instead of thinking of this as a small computer, think
of it as a router able to share the cellular modem with anything else
- multiple anything elses.  Sure, the 5gig cap is a pain, but not as
much as you'd think if basic EMail and web are the goals.
