I need to put up a Linux server and i need to make sure it has a backup routine that gets to tape eventually. Currently we have licensing for backup exec 11d, and there will also be a VMware ESXi machine in the mix. the storage server right now is a bit up in the air as to what it will be i am currently looking at open-e but i need some input on making sure that the Linux machine will get backed up correctly. The Linux server will be running as a virtual machine on ESXi The Windows Server that Backup Exec is installed on will be on the same server. the open-e Storage server will be a separate machine in the rack. It is likely that the Virtual machine images will reside on the storage server. -- A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button.
