Seems to me that bailing out Wall Street companies and banks was as socialist as it gets and this was the proposal advanced by President Bush and then authorized by members of Congress from both sides of the aisle. The graduated income tax scale has been US law for a century now and the commentary that includes the socialist label upon any particular faction for adjusting the indexes of the graduated scale merely proves the point that some people cannot help but get suckered into class warfare advanced by the Republicans. The irony is that the people who beat this drum are often those who are on the lower end of the wage scale and mostly unaffected anyway. It needs to be pointed out that America was far more prosperous as a nation and the more specifically, the middle class enjoyed an expansion of wealth during the 90's when Clinton was president and though there's no proof that returning the taxation scales to that which existed before the 'Bush Tax Cuts' were put into place, there is certainly enough evidence that the malaise that has ensued from 8 years of Bush economics has decimated the middle class, and now the general US economy to depths that we haven't even begun to realize...yet. Identity politics that labels Obama as a Socialist is proof that one has absolutely no grasp of what is happening in this country at all and simply cannot get beyond the spoon feeding being propagated by those who value greed personal wealth and the politics of division...guess what?
