most everything i have seen out there written for windows someone has written for Linux.. the key will be a list of what they expect or know and a list of comparisons. for example Ubuntu has about 4000 applications available (i might be getitng it mixed up with another dist) and Gentoo is over 8000 suse is huge as is fedora. just a matter of what you need.
