Sure. I installed an open source piece of software on my local PC for testing (PhpBB3) and when I installed it the program automatically set the path. This was a few months ago so I forgot that I installed the program via localhost so PhpBB3 automatically used this as the base URL. When I went to the index.php, PhpBB3 automatically read the path and redirected to localhost thus when I tried using phpBB3 over the network it wouldn't work. I simply went into the path file and changed localhost to 192.168.0.8 and everything worked. --- On Sun, 8/10/08, Dazed_75 wrote: > From: Dazed_75 > Subject: Re: Apache2 issue on Ubuntu 8.04 > To: jharitos@yahoo.com, "Main PLUG discussion list" > Date: Sunday, August 10, 2008, 7:23 AM > On Sat, Aug 9, 2008 at 4:11 PM, John > wrote: > > Nevermind, it was my script index.php that was > redirecting to localhost. > > > > > John, could you show us what it is that was wrong please? > > -- > Man is the only animal that laughs and weeps, for he is the > only > animal that is struck with the difference between what > things are and > what they ought to be. > - William Hazlitt --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change your mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
