I have a ton of externals HD and the 'best' one I have is the 750 GB ACOM from Fry's. Its was super cheap, runs eSata or USB 2.0, has 32MB cache and best of all it runs super cool. My Seagate externals get insanely hot where the ACOM (which has a Samsung HD) is cooler than cool. Btw, the transfer rates when running eSata mode are sometime 3X usb in real world testing. -- -----Original Message----- From: Robert Holtzman Date: Mon, 7 Jul 2008 22:50:03 To: Subject: external HD suggestions I would like to hear some opinions on a reliable external HD in the 3+Gb range. Thanks in advance. -- Bob Holtzman "If you think you're getting free lunch, check the price of the beer" --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change your mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change your mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
