Yes, I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 and it uses UUID's. I ran "ls -l /dev/disk/by-uuid" to see if the UUID's matched those in /etc/fstab and they did. From this am I correct in assuming that it's safe to reboot? If it is, then we're back to my original question: is there any way to change /dev/sdb* back to /dev/sda* or should I live with it and edit fstab? -- Bob Holtzman A fair fight is the result of poor planning. --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change your mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
