In this area, there are 2 local evil monopolies.  Cox is the local evil cable 
monopoly, and Qwest is the local evil phone monopoly.  You *have to* deal 
with one of those places if you want cable or DSL.  Deru are pretty cool, and 
I have had no complaints at all with their service.  But while Deru is my 
ISP, my packets are being routed over Qwest wire.
