Is it still a SSD? Honestly, I'd be willing to take the performance hit and use a bargain-priced 32Gb CF card as hard disc. I really wish I could justify an EEE. My old IBM 385XD finally bit the dust, and so I could use a laptop... the EEE offers a well-integrated, almost Mac-like in that sense, package, without being more horsepower than I really need to run Firefox and a SSH client. -----Original Message----- From: Joshua Zeidner To: mmarch@gmail.com; Main PLUG discussion list Sent: Wed, 23 Apr 2008 1:09 pm Subject: Re: OLPC ah, so you get more HD with the Linux version? despite this I still think the factors I cite are valid. -jmz On Wed, Apr 23, 2008 at 11:56 AM, Michael March wrote: > The new Linux based 9 inch eee has a 20GB hd while the XP version has a 12GB hd. > > Pretty cool in my eyes. > > -- > > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: "Joshua Zeidner" > > Date: Wed, 23 Apr 2008 11:52:53 > To:"Main PLUG discussion list" > Subject: Re: OLPC > > > A similar thing with eeePC.
