It depends on what you refer to as the install path. Do you need to know where the binary is to launch firefox, or are you looking for where firefox is keeping it's default user profile to draw from when building each users profile upon first startup? If you just need the binary, then which should tell you where it's at. If you need the profile directory, or something else in a directory other than just the binaries, then either locate if it's installed and has an updated database, or 'find /usr -name mozilla -o -name firefox' should get you some results to work with, assuming that the files are in the /usr hierarchy. Another option is to look at your distro's package management system, most of them have a standard place they put default files. I know on gentoo they usually store things such as this in /usr/lib but I don't know any other distro's so can't say where they may put the files.
