I wouldn't totally rule out the prospect of actually *running* for
public office...

Blogs are generally read by people that have already subscribed to the
ideas that the blogger posts about.  It'd be more like preaching to
the choir to post a story on fair use rights on Lawrence Lessig's
blog, for example.  But its a good first step...
