I am trying to get my Dad's computer working with his Samsung SyncMaster 712N, and am having some trouble. I am 2000 miles away which doesn't help with the debug either. He says that he can't get to the bottom of his screen at all to get to the menus, etc. Which tells me that he may be in a lower resolution than he desires. Can anyone help here? He is using CentOS 5 KDE Samsung SyncMaster 712N his xorg.conf looks like this: ### comment all HorizSinc and VertSinc values to use ddc: HorizSinc 31.5 - 48.5 VertRefresh 40.0 -70.0 Option "dpms" EndSection Section "Device" Identifier "Videocard0" Driver "nv" EndSection Section "Screen" Identifier "Screen0" Device "Videocard0" Monitor "Monitor0" Default Depth 24 Subsection "Display" Viewport 0 0 Depth 24 Modes "1024x768" "800x600" "720x400" "648x480" EndSubSection EndSection -- Happy Trails!
