moin moin, Red Seven's Gutsy Gibbon release party came up at the Free Software Stammtisch last night. I promised to post info to discuss. ### *Party at RedSeven!* October 18, 2007, 7:00pm RedSeven has been the leading proponent of Linux and open-source software in the Phoenix area for the last several years because of the cost-savings, security, and opportunities it brings to businesses and home users. No matter how much we discover open-source software can do for us, we continue to be amazed at it's relentless improvements. An excellent example is the Ubuntu project, which, with the help of a worldwide community, releases a new version of their operating system with 20,000+ programs available every six months like clock-work. The next version, code-named "Gutsy Gibbon", version 7.10, is due out October 18th, and we'd like your help in celebrating the release. At RedSeven's Tempe location , we will be hosting a release party on October 18th at 7:00pm, complete with refreshments. In addition to socializing, we'll show off a running demo of the new operating system in all its glory. Many of you reading this now are RedSeven clients and have the fortune of running Linux in your businesses. For those that haven't discovered the possibilities of Linux and open-source, this will be an excellent opportunity. And if you have Linux in your business already, we'd like to show you how you can do even more with it! We invite each of you to join us on Thursday, October 18th at 7:00pm. Though it's not required, we ask that you RSVP for this event so we can better. ### ciao, der.hans -- # https://www.LuftHans.com/ http://www.CiscoLearning.org/ # "It is a miracle that curiosity survives formal education." # -- Albert Einstein --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change your mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
