Where I work we have a yum repository that gets accessed at the end of the kickstart process (part fo the %post section). We use it to update whetever we're installing to the latest package/patch levels. The yum.conf that is copied in after the yum rpm is installed has the repository information already configured. Very simple stuff: rpm -ivh http://ks_server/location/of/yum.rpm wget -o /dev/null -O /etc/yum.conf http://ks_server/location/of/yum.conf yum update -y That's from memory, so you'll want to check the man page on each command before trying it yourself.
