NO it doesn't. It cuts your bandwidth in half by sending all ethernet frames to both ports. DUMB. Switches forward frames based on the destination MAC address. This eliminates ethernet collisions and reduces traffic throughout the LAN. You see, if you hang another HUB off of one of those ports you will have a massive reduction in bandwidth. Just buy the darned switch.
