Care to elaborate a bit about the solution? On a side note, I recently came across Smart BootManager (http://sourceforge.net/projects/btmgr/) when I was unable to boot from a CDRom. Nice little tool. I'll allow you to boot from a floppy then select a device to boot from, or it can be installed on a HDD or thumb drive. Probably should be in the InstallFest Toolkit.
