When they go bad--you don't know it until you try to read from it and it's too late. At least with a hard drive you can run diagnostics on it like the smart tools and you generally know when one starts flaking out. You might look at using Blue-Ray or HD DVD discs since they are bigger than DVD. external USB hard drives might work well. Rotate through 3 or four periodically changing them out or something. - -- JT Morée PC Xperience, Inc. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2.2 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFGKoh91JwGi/ukQqERAjpBAKCz+2zNUtGH/1MuuJIDPAawYO9hPwCeIvML VCen8rmzX/VJOkqYYbX2ngo= =fbq6 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
