OK, that's a big help on setting up an LDAP server.  Looks like that 
will work with Thunderbird and Eudora for retrieving addresses just fine.

Is there a good corresponding howto explaining how to setup a program or 
web interface so their secretary can add contacts?  I don't think she's 
up to writing .ldif entries manually...
