Run a phone line to your old dialup modem via a dsl filter, then use the dialup modem to send the fax. DSL nor cable modems will do that with efax from what I know. Hope this helps. Or print it, then go buy a used 'good will' or 'salvation army' used fax machine...I have one, then fax via a fax machine! Mine has a bad cartridge and I can still send. Just have to listen to the final series of sounds to tell if it went through correctly tho as it immediately says "check cartridge" upon completion of the fax! Needless to say, no incoming fax capability tho via the fax machine. --- Josef Lowder wrote: > . > When I had a dial-up modem rather than a dsl > connection, > I was able to send faxes from the command line via > modem > using a program called 'efax'. > > But now that I am connected via DSL, I wonder how I > can > send a fax, since there is no dial tone? > > What is the solution? > > > --------------------------------------------------- > PLUG-discuss mailing list - > PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail > settings: > http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss > *****/////*****/////***** Ed Culbertson/ke7feg Remember Katrina?
