. I've downloaded a binary version of abiword (2.5.1) that is supposed to be cross platform applicable. My question really is just where (in what directory or folder) to install it using the "Ark" installer. I wondered if I should create a subdirectory named "abiword" under /opt and change the ownership to my user name? Or should it go somewhere else. Ark has the default location for installing abiword-2.5.1.tar.gz in /home/joe/Documents ... but that didn't seem right. Or does it just unpack there and put it somewhere else? ------------------- On Tue, 20 Feb 2007, John Schember wrote > Why not see if it is available for your specific distribution?
