Now  when I start it with the 2 4 kernel it panics right away. The screen goes 
blank an the lights on the keyboard start flashing. following is menu.lst in 
it's entirety. If you could take a look and tell me if it indicates what 
could be wrong that would be great!

hmmmmmmm.... I just noticed that 'boot' there all alone. Could that be the 
problem? Let's change that!
