That is (like) what I was thinking. I downloaded 2.4.33.7 last night in anticipation of having to do the lesser kernel. I also grabed patch-2.4.33 not knowing if I would need it. What information do I need before I compile it and how would I go about getting it? (known specs I could remember how to get are listed below) I believe I should compile it before an installfest and then bring it in for fine tuning. top - 18:03:30 up 1:00, 3 users, load average: 0.07, 0.41, 0.55 Tasks: 100 total, 1 running, 99 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie Cpu(s): 23.9% us, 7.5% sy, 0.0% ni, 63.3% id, 0.6% wa, 4.4% hi, 0.3% si Mem: 385264k total, 292352k used, 92912k free, 14428k buffers Swap: 1025000k total, 0k used, 1025000k free, 159768k cached bmike1@2[~]$ lsusb Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 Bus 004 Device 002: ID 046d:08b0 Logitech, Inc.
