Look in the control panel. the manual way is to check the symlinks in your default runlevel. If you are on a deb based system look in /etc/rc2.d K20foo -> ../init.d/foo S20foo -> ../init.d/foo The K enry is fine it means that the server will not run. The S entries are the startup entries. you can remove any S entries that you don't want to run or rename them to KXXfoo. WARNING!!! you can cripple your system by turning off critical services that are needed. make sure you know what you are turning off. Use google to research them if you have to. - -- JT Morée PC Xperience, Inc. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2.2 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFFa6pV1JwGi/ukQqERAvFdAKDKSTKc6TlUJ07aNaCC3mhfiBJ0fwCg7Z4C rHbnNBKz6afDLNLFljdugQw= =+N9N -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
