An interesting continuation of this story just came across NewsForge
today.  There will be a special OpenSUSE IRC meeting on Monday, November
27th, 10:00AM (if I read the time zones right) to discuss the
Novell/Microsoft deal.

I don't know if I will connect and I probably will not be able to pay
