Hi All,

My brother has an old laptop he'd like to put Linux on.  The specs of 
the system are:
300Mhz processor
256Mb Ram
5Gb hard disk

I'm very familiar with Redhat, Suse and the other "big boys". But 
these are simply to resource intensive for this machine and run very 
sluggish.  We've even tried Knoppix with little success.

Any recommendations of a small footprint distro that would run well 
on this type of system with a GUI interface?
