I've not tried this, but it seems simple enough: http://feraga.com/project/deb2flash Before you even bother with this, though, ensure that the computers you plan to use this on can even boot from USB drives. Most classroom computers that I've seen don't have the capacity. In that case, you might be able to get away with the distro installed on the USB drive, and a bootloader on a floppy/CD. Also, if you're looking for a more hands-on approach, you might want to check out http://www.debian-administration.org/articles/179 . As an added benefit, that guide includes encryption of most of the system. - -David -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (Darwin) iD8DBQFFWWjm/eN+mEehuEMRAuS4AJ9CA9rgtAxY7ClnyG4EpTXFyN3ksQCeLroj 5xdWJQllHy6gYWhfP3lRvr8= =zYpB -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
